Comportamiento de las pymes manufactureras en Rosario. Una comparación de los resultados de los relevamientos del Sector Productivo 1997, 2001 y 2010

Abstract

Las pequeñas y medianas empresas industriales (PyMEs) han desempeñado y desempeñan un rol destacado dentro del aparato productivo de la ciudad de Rosario, de manera tal que el conocimiento sobre sus características, evolución, fortalezas y debilidades, es clave para identificar sus problemáticas y establecer las medidas apropiadas para enfrentar las situaciones de crisis. Las características de las condiciones de base o entorno general y la estructura sobre las que se apoya la empresa definen su comportamiento, su capacidad de adaptación a los cambios y, por lo tanto, su permanencia en el mercado. En ese sentido, el presente trabajo tiene la finalidad de describir el comportamiento de las PyMEs manufactureras de la ciudad de Rosario, a través de la información obtenida en los Relevamientos de 1997, 2001 y 2010 . Se consideran: el tipo de empresa, actividad económica, producción, inversión, innovación, comercialización, entre otras variables relevantes. El trabajo consta de tres partes. En la primera se exponen los aspectos metodológicos en base a los cuales se realizaron los Relevamientos de la Industria Manufacturera –RIM-. En la segunda se describen las variables seleccionadas y el comportamiento de las mismas en cada corte temporal. Finalmente se presentan las reflexiones que surgen del análisis comparativo de los datos.

This work forms part of the project "Analysis of the Sector Pymes in the Rosario Region, its evolution, current structure and perspectives whose objective is to study the productive structure, evolution and perspectives of the small and medium enterprises of the Rosario region. These companies play and have played a remarkable role in the productive apparatus of the region in such a way that the study of their evolution, their characteristics, their strengths and weaknesses is key to dealing with crisis situations and identifying their problems. The purpose of this paper is to characterize the behavior of manufacturing SMEs in the 1997, 2001 and 2010 surveys in terms of the type of company, economic activity, production, investment, innovation, marketing, among other relevant variables in order to verify that the characteristics of the basic conditions and the structure on which the company bases its behavior, its ability to adapt to changes and, therefore, its permanence in the market The results obtained from the surveys of the years 1997, 2001 and 2010 to the manufacturing industry of the city of Rosario are used for this work. The work consists of three parts. In the first one, the methodological aspects that guided the realization of the surveys of the manufacturing industry -RIM- are presented.
